Bob believes that coaching is essential to furthering global health: “Coaching facilitates change in behavior and, when combined with training, ensures that the lessons learned are adapted to the individual or group's particular needs. Therefore, coaching replaces a one-size-fits-all training experience with individually crafted learning experiences that have a significant impact on the day-to-day job performance of public health officials. MIDEGO’s goal is to multiply these learning experiences throughout developing countries by training individuals as coaches so that the essential organizational skills taught can reach the widest possible audience."
