Terry Anderson, Communications Officer, Grant Management Solutions Project
Terry is a seasoned communications professional, having written and edited documents on public health economics; hematology; HIV/AIDS; malaria; neurology; oncology; orphan diseases; tuberculosis; and pharmacology, drug safety, and drug-drug interaction (particularly antiepileptics, anticholinergics, anticoagulants, anticonvulsants, antiretrovirals, benzodiazepines, beta-blockers, chemotherapeutic agents, contraceptives, corticosteroids, GABAA agonists, and NSAIDs). Since 2006, Terry has published seven book chapters on subjects as diverse as Liberian immigration, the Bretton Woods Agreement, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, and urethral cancer.
For MIDEGO, Terry is Communications Officer on the Grant Management Solutions (GMS) project, overseeing the communications plan, protocols, and branding and marking plan. He trains international consultants on communications and media issues; writes success stories and reports, including the GMS annual and semi-annual reports; edits consultancy reports; and responds to ad hoc information requests from PEPFAR, Global Fund, and U.S. Department of State officials. As a GMS core team member, Terry has made six international trips to assist country coordinating mechanisms to renew their membership, revise bylaws and other framework documents, devise and implement conflict of interest policies, and submit Phase 2 funding documents to the Global Fund.
